#9 Sculpture in the Loop

Chicago has made public art a priority.  Only one sculpture on the card is no longer there. The most famous and recognizable sculpture is the Picasso in Daley Plaza.  It's untitled, which is too bad. Instead, it goes by a title like it was a Friends episode.  "The One in Daley Plaza" or "The One Designed by Picasso"  or "The One That Looks Like a Baboon".

#8 Loop Architecture Part 2

This walk starts where walk #7 ended...at the Sears Tower.  Now named the Willis Tower, it will forever be known as the Sears Tower to any Chicagoan.

#7 Loop Architect Part 1

I love the loop.  If I had a job, I'd like to work in the loop.  Clean, efficient, small.  Chicago is a perfect size city for me.  It has all of the amenities and culture of a large city and is small enough to get around easily.

Walk #7 and 8 highlight just some of the architectural accomplishments in the city.  If you want something more thorough I suggest using the Chicago Architecture Foundation.

#41 Little Italy

Nice walk.  Al's Italian Beef got a street named after it.  A funeral was letting out of The Shrine of our Lady of Pompeii as I walked by. I lingered.  The bells were tolling slowly and the large crowd mingled quietly in the sunshine.  After the hearse pulled away the crowd slowly dispersed.

Noticeably clean sidewalks and properties.  I wondered why.
