#24 West Rogers Park

November 7, 2019
Little India.  Cold (31 degrees) Blue skies.  Looking for an Indian lunch buffet. Found one at Devon and Maplewood. Punjabi did not disappoint.  Butter chicken, palak paneer, dahl, samosa, buttery naan...good stuff.  I read about the history of India and Pakistan while I dined.

#21 Lincoln Park Architecture

September 27, 2019
This walk was of interest to us because Marcey's parents lived at 451 W. Deming when she was born.  Her family moved six months later so Marcey has no memory of it, but she has seen photos.  All of the sites listed on the card are still there.  Lots of interesting architecture and million dollar homes.  The Louis Sullivan house is for sale.

Start: Clark & Roslyn

#13 Oak Street Beach to Olive Park

September 26, 2019
Another gorgeous early autumn day.  The lake level is high this year and the water is lapping up over the concrete walkway.  The outdoor restaurants at the beaches are closed this time of year, but there are still plenty of bikers and runners on the path.  I had never visited Olive park before.  What a great view of the skyline from there.

#12 Magnificent Mile

The sky is impossibly blue today.  Great day for a walk down one the most famous avenues in the world.  The card purposely avoided naming shops (thankfully) but even so, there are changes.  Most notably, the Tribune Tower has been sold and is currently under major renovations to include residential units.  I was able to hold my phone above the barricades to snap a couple of shots of the facade.  The Apple store is also new.  It recently opened adjacent to the Michigan Avenue Bridge.
